I found this pdf printable of a castle from coloringcastle.com--I printed 4 copies:
Castle
I decided how I wanted to cut up the castle to made templates for 4 separate album pages.
I made my templates, traced them onto chipboard and cut out my new castle shaped album pages:
I then covered all of the pages with black cardstock to serve as my background for the pages:
If you look closely you can see the brown chipboard edges, which bothered me--so I went around the edges with a sharpie--probably would be easier to do before covering with black cardstock.
Next--just gather all the supplies you want to embellish and accent your album--Since this was a Disney album, I stuck with a color scheme of black, white, red and little hints of yellow. I used patterned paper, ribbons, stickers, stickles, tags, rub-ons, pop-dots, souffle pens, journalling spots....just anything you want to complete your album!! Tools used included: glue sticks, glue pens, ZIG pens, cutter bee pen , binder rings, scissors, chipboard, printer.
Complete each page to your liking and punch some holes along one edge and add some binder rings, accent ribbons and hangy thingies! and enjoy!
Here's my finished product:
I put clips on each one of the photo mats, that way all you have to do is slide your pic right under.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial on making your own shaped mini scrapbook albums!!
Here are some other albums also finished this week--all of these will be listed in my etsy store this week.
This is a cute little scalloped edged round pocket album.
A 5x7 simple album with just places to place pics and journalling tags tucked under the mats.
