This past Saturday we went to the Southern Forest Heritage Museum Festival in Longleaf, LA. We had never been to this festival which is part of the history in our small town. The festival focuses around the history of the forest industry in central Louisiana, how the original sawmills came about and then faded away into memory with the modernization of the United States.
