Do you pin??

Pinterest is my newest obsession...

Tons of recipes I will probably never cook, books I will not read, crafts I will not make, clothes I will never buy

BUT, I have it pinned just in case. :)

Pinterest is like your own personal online bulletin/style board. You make your own categories, then when you
come across something interesting online, you can "pin" it to your board on Pinterest. You can also "repin" something you see on Pinterest to your boards. All your ideas in one place. All sharing great ideas.

I personally LOVE Pinterest! Go check it out.

Recent favorite pins:

Recycling old t-shirts into headbands. Visit makeit-take-it by clicking image. Make them shorter and have some cute bracelets too.

Dorm Ideas

Kelsi is heading off to college in a couple of months and we have been searching the internet for some ideas to personalize her dorm room.

Love these chicken wire frames to hold pics with clothespins. So many ways you can personalize this idea--we will probably paint turquoise or hot pink with embellished clothespins.

Dreams Come True Day #2

Up early to head to the Pensacola Naval Air Station to watch the Blue Angels practice!! Fun fun!! We kept this as a surprise for Trace and the way he figured it out was so much fun. :)

Dreams Come True Day #1

June 6, 2011

Day Numero Uno of our 2 week Make A Wish Walt Disney World Trip combined with our annual family vacation. WOO-HOO!!! Lots to celebrate on this trip...most importantly: Trace's continued cancer free status!! We are also celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary, Kelsi's graduation from high school and Kate's graduation from college. We have tons to be thankful for and really look forward to some family time and making lots of magical memories. Our first trip to Disney was exactly 10yrs ago when Trace was only 2 1/2 yrs old. Who knew 10 yrs later we would be celebrating a "cancer-free" diagnosis for him. I remember on one of our trips sitting behind a Make A Wish family on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride and thinking how special it was to see that bald-headed little boy enjoying that ride, smiling and laughing with his family.

Never ever thought in a million years that in a few short years that would be our family. But it is and we will make some wonderful treasured memories and be very grateful that Trace is now cancer free.

Make A Wish Party

June 2, 2011

Trace's Make A Wish trip to Walt Disney World is scheduled for June 8-14th. His going away party with his wish granters was tonight. They arranged for it to be at a local casino's arcade. He was presented with a gift card to play all the games, a great MAW bag filled with toys and all his paperwork for the trip. Unfortunately his granters were unable to attend at the last moment due to a family emergency. We understood, but still wish they could have been there. We had our own little family party with lots of games, food and fun. OH>>> and a limo ride!! :)
