Dreams Come True Day #2

Up early to head to the Pensacola Naval Air Station to watch the Blue Angels practice!! Fun fun!! We kept this as a surprise for Trace and the way he figured it out was so much fun. :)

We were relying on our GPS to get us there from the hotel and wellllll, it took us down the wrong roads. We were in a small subdivision, dead end street, when all of the sudden, the LOUD roar of the Blue Angels passed right over us tree top high. Trace was like "WHOA"!!! We are trying to turn around and eventually found our way to the station. The drive into the NAS is beautiful along the beach of the bay. Very pretty. The museum is huge and there were tons of people there. The BA are constantly flying over and we are trying to hurry and find a parking spot so we can go watch them before it's over...since we got lost and was late.

After the practice session, we quickly toured some of the buildings and watched an IMAX show about the fighter pilot school held in the Nevada desert. Those shows have never made me dizzy, but that one did. We left later than we had planned and the GPS once again took us a wrong way and it took us about 45 mins to get back to I-10. Now the long boring part of the road trip...from Pensacola to I-75 South. Nothing really exciting...Kelsi watching The Big Bang Theory on the computer, Trace playing on his iTouch, occassional naps, visits to the rest areas, snacks. Once you turn on I-75 there is the billboards to keep you entertained. You have the many many red and orange "WE BARE ALL" ones, the Ron Jon Surf Shop ones, the GEICO eyes.

We finally make it to the toll roads, which is closer and closer to Disney World!!! Love that we can see some of the resorts and rides from the last toll road before HWY 192. Kids were getting excited!! We get to our hotel for the night and then head out to find some food. Everyone wanted Chinese so we find a place near the hotel and had a good dinner. Headed on to bed since we had to be up early to go check into Give Kids the World and go to Sea World. YAY!
